Golden Wings began as a heartfelt student project by filmmaker Caleb Stewart, originally intended as a tribute to the extraordinary career of his mother, Robyn Stewart, who has served as a flight attendant with American Airlines for over 53 years. What started as a deeply personal story soon evolved into a powerful exploration of aviation history—told through the eyes of those who lived it.

Filmed entirely on a Samsung Galaxy S20, this documentary weaves together intimate interviews, historical footage, and firsthand accounts from Robyn and her colleagues, offering a rare glimpse into the evolution of the profession. From the rigid standards of the early days—including girdle checks and strict appearance requirements—to the fight for equal rights, advancements in safety, and the life-saving responsibilities of modern flight crews, Golden Wings illuminates the resilience, adaptability, and profound impact of flight attendants in shaping the industry.
